Executive, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Location : Pasir Gudang, Johor
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, compliance and safety of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including process monitoring, interpretation of test results, equipment calibration, documentation and client approvals.
The role works closely with QA/QC, Production and client teams to ensure NDT activities are completed accurately and on schedule, in compliance with company procedures, applicable codes and standards, regulatory requirements and Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor NDT activities in accordance with the approved NDE Matrix, project requirements, procedures, applicable codes and standards.
- Evaluate and interpret NDT results against specifications and maintain complete and traceable inspection records.
- Prepare and submit NDT reports, dossiers and documentation for client review and approval.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and validity of NDT equipment and associated records.
- Perform or supervise NDT methods including UT, RT/RI, MT, PT and VT, ensuring personnel hold valid qualifications and certifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, clients and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and quality inspection activities.
- Identify and report non-conformities or irregularities detected during testing and support improvements to NDT operations.
- Support radiation safety and regulatory compliance, including responsibilities as Officer-in-Charge (OBTL) and acting Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS), in accordance with applicable AELB requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess recognised NDT Level 2 competency certification, such as:
- ISO 9712 / PCN Level 2 in RI/RT, UT, MT and PT; or
- ASNT Level 2 NDT Personnel Certification.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience as an NDT Coordinator.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in NDT techniques, applicable codes, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Certification in RI/RT, UT, MT and PT Level 2 is preferred.
