We're hiring an Application Developer to design, build, and operate modern business applications using .NET Core (C#) and React / Next.js. This role offers true end-to-end ownership across the full software development lifecycle from requirements and solution design through deployment and production support.
You'll work closely with product, design, QA, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications aligned with enterprise IT and security standards.
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET Core (ASP.NET Core MVC / Web API) and React / Next.js
- Own features end-to-end: requirements design build test deploy support
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring clean architecture and performance
- Enforce secure coding practices and respond quickly to vulnerabilities
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, security scanning, and deployment
- Deploy and operate applications on Windows & Linux, across Azure / AWS environments
- Monitor performance, availability, and cost; support incident resolution and post-mortems
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
- Adhere to Group IT security, compliance, and Responsible AI standards
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core
- Strong backend experience with ASP.NET Core MVC / Web API and Entity Framework
- Solid frontend experience with React and Next.js (SSR / ISR, component architecture, state management)
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
- Strong SQL / T-SQL skills (stored procedures, query optimisation)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools (Visual Studio, VS Code)
- Comfortable deploying and supporting applications on Windows and Linux
Nice to have
- Cloud experience on AWS / Azure / Alibaba Cloud
- Exposure to Flutter or React Native (mobile development)
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or digital platforms
