Job Description

A leading global network services provider is seeking a Network Consultant with Juniper certification to join the team immediately. This role offers you the chance to work closely with senior consultants and solutions architects, supporting large regional customers on complex network projects and operations. You will be the trusted expert for Juniper networking solutionswhile also engaging in multi-vendor environments such as Cisco and Huawei.

As a Network Consultant you will play a pivotal role in supporting large regional customers on their network projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve the following:

  • Support senior consultants and solutions architects in shaping overall network design and direction for key customers, ensuring proposed solutions align with business requirements and are practical to implement.
  • Help maintain architecture standards and governance within assigned customer environments by identifying gaps or risks and flagging them appropriately.
  • Contribute to life-cycle management and technology roadmap planning, especially when introducing new Juniper or multi-vendor solutions that enhance performance, security, or cost efficiency.
  • Assess feasibility, technical requirements, and operational risks for new services or changes, providing practical recommendations to both customers and internal teams.
  • Take a hands-on role in creating and updating design documents such as High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, and Site Migration Plans while supporting senior team members during customer workshops and presentations.
  • Provide Juniper-centric consulting on routing, switching, SD-WAN, and security (including MX, EX, QFX, SRX, Junos), while being able to compare and position other vendors like Cisco and Huawei based on customer needs.
  • Support implementation and migration activities including configuration review, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, working closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Monitor deployment issues proactively; coordinate fixes with internal product or engineering teams; keep customers updated so expectations are managed effectively.

What you bring:

To excel as a Network Consultant you will need to have the following:

  • Around 5 to 10 years of experience in network engineering or consulting within customer-facing roles at service providers, telcos or large enterprises.
  • Proven hands-on skills across routing and switching technologies as well as WAN/SD-WAN architectures.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation; experience with data centre or campus networks is advantageous.
  • Juniper certifications such as JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE (Enterprise, Service Provider or Security) along with practical experience designing or supporting Juniper network solutions.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor environments involving products from Cisco, Huawei or others; ability to discuss pros/cons of each solution with customers.
  • Comfortable engaging in both high-level strategic discussions (options analysis, trade-offs) as well as detailed technical reviews (configuration checks, troubleshooting).
  • Strong organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple tasks efficiently while prioritising work in a fast-moving setting.
  • Excellent communication abilities allowing you to build trust with customers from diverse backgrounds as well as internal stakeholders across different countries.
  • Collaborative mindset coupled with willingness to mentor junior engineers and share knowledge openly within the team.
  • Engineering or IT-related degree (or equivalent experience); additional vendor certifications (Cisco/Huawei/Fortinet) are beneficial; exposure to architecture frameworks like TOGAF is nice to have but not essential
