Join Maxis as a
Network Cybersecurity Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience in safeguarding network infrastructure and supporting cybersecurity operations. This role offers exposure to real-world security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident reporting while working closely with experienced cybersecurity professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability Assessment
- Assist in conducting regular vulnerability scans on networks and systems.
- Analyse findings and support remediation and risk mitigation efforts.
Security Monitoring & Detection
- Support monitoring of network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools.
- Assist in identifying, escalating, and responding to potential security threats.
Patch & Configuration Management
- Track security patches and updates to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
- Support patch deployment and verification activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain security documentation, incident reports, and dashboards.
- Assist in analysing security data and generating reports using tools such as Splunk.
Security Awareness & Support
- Support security awareness initiatives and internal training programmes.
- Assist in promoting best practices for network and information security.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, network security, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, or network monitoring systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a cybersecurity environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
