Job Description

Scope of Work (SOW) – Network Deployment

1. Project Overview

This project involves the deployment of network infrastructure at the client site in Malaysia. The objective is to ensure proper installation, connectivity, and operational readiness of all network devices through coordinated on-site and remote support.

3. Deployment Scope

3.1 Hardware Installation

  • Unboxing and physical inspection of devices
  • Rack mounting of network equipment (Switches, WLC, etc.)
  • Mounting and placement of Access Points (APs) as per layout
  • Power connectivity and cable organization

3.2 Cabling & Patching

  • Ethernet and fiber patching between devices
  • Interconnection of switches, WLC, and APs
  • Proper cable dressing and labeling
  • Validation of physical connectivity

3.3 Configuration Support

  • Console access setup for all devices
  • Coordination with remote team for configuration
  • Support for:
  • IP addressing
  • VLAN configuration
  • AP onboarding to WLC
  • Assist in integrating devices into the existing network

3.4 Testing & Validation

  • Power-on verification of all devices
  • Network connectivity testing
  • AP status and SSID broadcast verification
  • Basic functionality and performance checks

4. On-site Hands & Feet Support

The assigned on-site engineer will provide:

  • Rack & stack support
  • Cabling and patching assistance
  • Console connectivity for remote configuration
  • Troubleshooting of physical/network layer issues
  • Real-time coordination with remote teams
  • Progress updates during the activity

5. Timeline & Execution Plan

  • Deployment Date: 8th May
  • Estimated Duration: 4–8 Hours (depending on scope)
  • Working Window: As per client-approved schedule
  • Engineer to report on-site as per agreed time

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Dedicated SPOC for activity coordination
  • Pre-deployment alignment with all stakeholders
  • Continuous communication between:
  • Client team
  • Remote technical team
  • On-site engineer
  • Immediate escalation in case of issues or delays
