Network Engineer

Network Engineer with KAF Investment Bank

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our expanding network infrastructure. In this role, you will be the backbone of our connectivity, ensuring that our local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) are high-performing, secure, and resilient. You'll work closely with the IT Security and DevOps teams to build a scalable environment that supports our mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Deployment: Build and maintain robust network configurations, including routers, wireless access points, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimise downtime.

Security Integration: Implement and manage VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and firewall rules to protect data integrity.

Cloud Connectivity: Manage hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premise hardware and cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date network diagrams and documentation for compliance and troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For

Experience: 35+ years in network engineering or administration.

Technical Stack:

o Hardware: Cisco, FortiGate, and Peplink.

o Protocols: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and STP.

o SD-WAN: Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) or SD-WAN

technologies.

Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, COMPTIA Network+, or any relevant network

certification is highly preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or

similar with networking focus.
