Network Engineer with DNA Center experience

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco switches, firewalls, DNA Center, and Umbrella.
• Manage firewall security policies, VPN configurations, and network segmentation strategies.
• Implement automation and management workflows leveraging Cisco DNA Center for provisioning, monitoring, and assurance.
• Use Cisco Umbrella for cloud-based security, policy enforcement, and threat protection.
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity, configuration, and security issues.
• Participate in network architecture planning, upgrades, and scaling initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
• Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
• Provide tier-2/3 escalation support for network-related incidents and service requests.

Required Qualifications

• 35 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer or related role.
• Strong working knowledge of Cisco switching and firewall platforms (IOS/NX-OS, ASA, Firepower).
• Experience deploying and managing Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Umbrella.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks (PAN) firewalls and Panorama management.
• Experience with F5 Big-IP technologies (LTM, GTM, iRules).
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, F5-CA/F5-CE.
• Background supporting midlarge scale enterprise environments.
