Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Network Executive to manage and strengthen Prolific's international logistics network partnerships.
In this role, network refers specifically to global freight forwarding and logistics networks such as GLA Network, CLN Network, and EAN Network.
You will act as the key liaison between Prolific Cargo and our overseas agents, ensuring strong collaboration, compliance, and business growth through strategic international partnerships.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Candidates with prior experience and solid knowledge in logistics operations (especially airfreight) will be strongly preferred.
- Experience handling international agents or global logistics networks is an added advantage.
- Candidates with existing contacts or working relationships with airlines (e.g., Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, etc.) will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of airfreight rate enquiries (RFQs), bookings, and coordination processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in liaising with overseas partners and internal departments.
- Positive working attitude, adaptable, not selective in responsibilities, and able to work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and HR.
- Passionate to learn, proactive, and self-driven.
- Preferred candidates residing near Bayan Lepas, Batu Maung, or Penang Island.
Job Description
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international agents and logistics partners within our global freight networks, including GLA Network, CLN Network, and EAN Network.
- Act as the main and sole liaison between Prolific Cargo and overseas agents, ensuring smooth coordination, particularly for airfreight shipments (which form approximately 70% of our core business).
- As the primary point of contact, consistently provide clear updates and maintain effective communication with internal departments including Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and HR regarding ongoing network matters, shipment developments, and business opportunities.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude when representing Prolific Cargo to international partners, as you will be the key representative of the company within our global networks.
- Work collaboratively and harmoniously with all internal departments, maintaining a cooperative mindset, being adaptable, and not selective in responsibilities.
- Respond to overseas shipment rate enquiries (RFQs), coordinate pricing internally, and follow up on business opportunities.
- Support business development by identifying new trade lanes and strengthening strategic partnerships through global network connections.
- Coordinate Prolific's participation in international network conferences and events.
- Monitor and manage network membership renewals and ensure compliance with network requirements.
