They are currently undergoing a significant technology transformation and are looking for operational leaders to ensure network stability, security, and service excellence.
About the Role
The Network Operations Manager is a leadership role focused on ensuring daily network stability, performance, and security. You will own incident management, root cause analysis, SLA compliance, and network security operations (firewalls, load balancers, proxies, URL filtering). This role spans two domains: Network Data (campus & data centre operations) and Network Security (security controls operations).
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage thenetwork operations team – establishing operating models, processes, andstandard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure availability,performance, and stability of network services in accordance with agreedSLA/SLOs.
- Manage proactivemonitoring, alerting, capacity management, and change management.
- Lead incident andproblem management, including root cause analysis (RCA) for high-impactdisruptions.
- Reduce MTTR andenhance user experience through continuous operational improvements.
- Work closely withthe security team on network security control operations (firewalls, loadbalancers, URL filtering, proxies).
- Support securityincident response from a network operations perspective.
- Ensure operationalcompliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Manage serviceproviders, network vendors, and support contracts – monitoring vendorperformance and SLA compliance.
- Support operationalbudget planning and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Drive adoption ofoperational automation, monitoring tools, and ITSM practices.
- Improve processesthrough standardisation and operational data insights.
- Collaborate with theengineering team to ensure smooth design-to-operations handover.
- Lead, mentor, anddevelop the network operations team.
- Manage operationalcommunications with key stakeholders – business units, IT teams, security,and vendors.
- Provide regularreports to senior management on operational status, SLA performance,risks, and major incidents.
- Lead networkincident response and root cause analysis jointly with the Head of NetworkEngineering.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent – recognised bythe Malaysian government – with minimum CGPA of 3.00.
- Pass in BahasaMelayu (including oral) at SPM level or equivalent government-recognisedqualification.
- Minimum 10 years ofrelevant experience in network operations across LAN/WAN/DC/cloudenvironments.
- At least 2–5 yearsin management or senior leadership roles.
- Proven track recordoverseeing large-scale, high-availability networks, including global ormulti-site operations.
- Broad expertise inrouting/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN) and data centrearchitectures (spine-leaf).
- Strong understandingof SD-WAN or similar advanced technologies.
- Solid knowledge ofnetwork security concepts – firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, zero-trustarchitecture, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity withcloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Experience leading,mentoring, and scaling network operations teams – setting clear goals andfostering professional growth.
- Proven ability todevelop and own network strategy, roadmap, capacity planning, andresilience initiatives.
- Strong budget andvendor management experience – procurement cycles, asset lifecycles,CAPEX/OPEX.
- Excellentstakeholder management across IT, security, cloud, and business units.
- Effective writtenand verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Strongproblem-solving mindset – incident management, root cause analysis, SLAenforcement, disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency inperformance monitoring, capacity forecasting, and optimisation.
- Willingness to workextended hours, including after-hours support when required.
- Willing to traveland work in Kwasa Damansara Office (HQ).
- Professionalcertifications (Public Clouds, ITIL, etc.) are an added advantage.
