Job Purpose:
The Network & Security Engineer (Load Balancer) is responsible for providing overall coordination of turnkey and large-scale projects involving multiple internal and external engineers in technology services. This includes installation services attached to new product sales, bespoke solutions implementation (comprising multiple products), and maintenance support services (remedial and preventive). It is accountable for delivering successful load balancer-centric IT implementations, including F5 BIG-IP modules (LTM, ASM/WAF, DNS/GTM, APM), ensuring robust application delivery and security. This role contributes to achieving overall business financial targets through high-quality project execution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions including modules such as LTM, ASM/WAF, DNS/GTM, and APM, ensuring optimal application delivery and security.
- Develop technical implementation plans, detailed configuration designs, and installation service Statements of Work (SOW) for F5 projects.
- Prepare design documents, Bill of Materials (BoM), and configuration templates using independent judgment and best practices.
- Provide effort estimation, validate solutions, and manage technical escalations with internal teams, vendors, and customers during complex F5 deployments.
- Stay current with F5 technologies by undergoing technical training and obtaining relevant certifications.
- Execute installation, migration, upgrade, and maintenance support services for F5 solutions within agreed timelines, ensuring minimal rework.
- Define service scope, calculate required man-days, and draft comprehensive service quotations for F5 projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in network and security engineering.
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Information Technology.
- Post-sales implementation certifications (F5 Certified preferred).
- Strong expertise in F5 BIG-IP modules (LTM, ASM/WAF, DNS/GTM, APM).
- Preferred experience with any load balancer products other than F5, such as Citrix and A10 solutions.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and application delivery concepts.
- Ability to execute instructions and seek clarification when needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across multicultural teams.
