Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from the initial First Article (FA) stage through qualification and approval of fabricated parts, ensuring readiness for mass production.
- Define, create, and maintain project process routing and Bill of Material (BOM) for new and existing products to ensure accurate manufacturing execution.
- Design, develop, and implement jigs and fixtures to support process control, productivity improvement, and quality consistency for both new and ongoing projects.
- Develop, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce production costs, minimize defects, and enhance overall product quality.
- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for sheet metal manufacturing processes to ensure standardized practices, effective training, and knowledge transfer.
Education:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred)
Type of Working Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in a related manufacturing or engineering field, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, forming, welding, and finishing.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or other similar 3D CAD software.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Team player with good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
