We're Hiring | NoSQL Data Architect / Data Engineer
Location: Malaysia (Visa Sponsored)
Experience: 8+ Years
We are looking for an experienced NoSQL Data Architect / Data Engineer to manage and optimize MongoDB environments across development, testing, and production. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, scalability, and security, while supporting teams with efficient data modeling and query optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect document-based data models using MongoDB
Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB standalone, replica sets, and sharded clusters
Implement replication, sharding strategies, and performance tuning
Automate database operations using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Integrate database workflows into CI/CD pipelines
Monitor performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Ops Manager / Cloud Manager
Implement security best practices (RBAC, authentication, encryption)
Collaborate with developers to optimize data models and queries
Key Skills:
Strong experience with MongoDB architecture (replica sets, sharding, aggregation)
Experience with Linux / Unix environments and shell scripting
Familiarity with MongoDB tools (mongodump, mongorestore, mongostat, mongotop)
Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of data modeling and NoSQL database concepts
Preferred:
MongoDB Certified DBA
Experience with MongoDB Atlas and other NoSQL databases
