Job Description
Basic Function of the Job:
- The primary function of this role is to provide hands-on operational support for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities on the production line. The position works closely with PM, SBR team, production & engineering to execute SBR builds, manage NPI materials, track Job Orders (JO), and ensure timely completion of NPI activities, supporting smooth product ramp-up and readiness for mass production.
Authorities :
- NPI Line Execution & Build Support
Authorized to work closely with PM, SBR team, production, and engineering to execute SBR builds on the production line.
Authorized to monitor build progress and ensure alignment with NPI schedules and requirements.
- NPI Material & Locator Management
Authorized to manage NPI locator to ensure proper identification, segregation, and traceability of materials.
Authorized to control and monitor NPI inventory, including material issuance, return, and reconciliation.
- Job Order (JO) Tracking & Control
Authorized to manage and track NPI Job Orders (JO) from release until closure.
Authorized to monitor JO aging and follow up with relevant teams to ensure timely closure.
- SBR Build Follow-up & Coordination
Authorized to follow up with SBR team and operators on build status, output, and issues.
Authorized to highlight and escalate delays, shortages, or abnormalities impacting build completion.
Authorized to update NPI trackers, JO status, build progress, and inventory records accurately.
Authorized to provide timely updates to PM, engineers, and stakeholders for decision-making.
- Cross-functional Coordination
Authorized to coordinate with PM, production, engineering, and warehouse teams for material readiness and build execution.
Authorized to support any ad-hoc NPI activities required for smooth project execution.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in manufacturing, production, or NPI support environment
Special Skills:
- Basic understanding of NPI flow, production processes, and build execution
- Experience in handling Job Orders (JO), inventory control, or production tracking systems
- Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, and preferably SAP/MES systems)
- Strong follow-up skills and sense of urgency in task execution
- Able to work on production floor and support line activities when required
- Good communication skills to coordinate with PM, SBR team, and cross-functional team.

Follows instructions and ensures all activities meet required timelines and expectations.
- Material & Inventory Control
Able to manage NPI materials, locator systems, and ensure proper traceability.
Ensures accuracy in material handling, issuance, and reconciliation.
- JO Management & Aging Control
Monitors Job Orders effectively and ensures timely closure.
Proactively follows up on aging JO and resolves delays with relevant teams.
- Coordination & Communication
Works closely with PM, SBR, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth execution.
Communicates issues clearly and escalates when necessary.
- Discipline & Data Accuracy
Maintains accurate and timely updates of trackers, reports, and system records.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and compliance with procedures.
