Quantum Corporation is seeking an NPI Procurement Specialist to support new product introductions and early production ramps. This role owns sourcing execution, supplier readiness, and material availability for complex hardware products, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and global suppliers.
This is a handson, highimpact role supporting fastmoving NPI programs and factory readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement for NPI and early production builds (mechanical, electrical, PCBA, custom parts).
- Manage suppliers across China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and broader APAC, including quoting, POs, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
- Drive tooling sourcing, transfers, and cost/ROI analysis for new and transitioning products.
- Resolve quality, delivery, and shortage issues directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Logistics, and Finance to support build schedules.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and supplier negotiations.
- Manage international shipments and support customs/logistics coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, or NPI support in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in China and Taiwan.
- Fluency in English required; Mandarin Chinese required.
- Ability to communicate with Taiwanese suppliers (Taiwan Mandarin); Taiwanese/Hokkien is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of tooling, custom parts, and production sourcing.
- Comfortable working in fastpaced, highurgency environments.
