Nutanix Resident Engineer

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or support.
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix technologies (Prism Central/Element, AHV/ESXi, CVM, storage, replication).
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Familiarity with OS-level support (Linux/Windows) and basic networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).
• Experience with incident and service request management using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills, particularly for status reporting and escalation handling.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet SLA commitments.

Good to Have:

• Nutanix certifications: NCP – Nutanix Certified Professional (Core infrastructure competency or higher).
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) or automation tools.
• Exposure to backup and disaster recovery solutions integrated with Nutanix (e.g., Veeam, HYCU).
• Understanding of cloud-native integrations with Nutanix (e.g., Nutanix Cloud Clusters, Nutanix Calm).
• Prior experience in a managed services or customer-facing support environment.
