Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Health Nurse role based in Malaysia. The Occupational Health Nurse will provide workplace health assessments, manage employee health records, and support occupational health programs aligned with regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting medical screenings, monitoring workplace hazards, supporting vaccination and wellness initiatives, and assisting in managing work-related injuries or illnesses. The role also involves educating employees on health, safety, and preventive care, coordinating with medical and HR teams, and contributing to health policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications
  • Clinical nursing skills relevant to occupational health, including health assessments, basic emergency response, and management of work-related injuries or illnesses.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices, including workplace risk assessment, preventive health initiatives, and compliance with local health regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to counsel employees, deliver health education, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate medical records, prepare reports, and support audits or regulatory reviews.
  • Registered Nurse qualification with valid practicing certificate; additional certification in occupational health or public health is an advantage.
  • Experience in corporate or industrial healthcare settings is beneficial, especially within Malaysia's regulatory environment.
  • Ability to work on-site, adapt to different workplace environments, and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
