Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

·       Provide occupational therapy for assigned caseload

·       Provides direct patient care services to children with disabilities considering responses as related to functional adaptation to the environment and to children with delays in the areas of physical, cognitive, social, emotional and adaptive development. Coordinates services with other health professionals.

·       Writes evaluations, progress notes/reports, and maintains patient files. 

·       Involved in talks and seminars organized by the center

·       Participate in the Early Intervention Program Activities

·       Attends to the classes and supports and also create/advocate activities that pertains to the needs of the children in terms of independence and learning.

·       Completes developmental evaluations that accurately and effectively identify strengths and needs. Communicates effectively with families and other team members in oral and written formats in both formal and non-formal situations.

·       To perform any other task as of when required by the Head of the Center.

Qualifications

·       Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy which is recognized by the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association and the Ministry of Health. 

·       Strong communication skill (written and oral in both English and Malay)

·       At least one year experience is required. However, fresh graduates who are exceptional will be considered to be part of the team.
