Job Purpose
To manage the receipt, storage, inventory accuracy, and dispatch of finished goods, ensuring smooth coordination between production, logistics, and customers, including handling inbound shipments from international locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finished Goods Receipt & Storage
- Receive finished goods from production and external locations (including overseas units)
- Verify material against packing list, invoice, and system (ERP) entries
- Ensure proper identification, labelling, and bin allocation
2. Handling Receipt from Other Country Locations
- Coordinate with import/logistics team for shipment arrival
- Verify import documents:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin (if applicable)
- Ensure custom clearance coordination with CHA (Clearing Agent)
- Perform physical vs document verification upon receipt
- Handle:
- Quantity discrepancies
- Transit damages
- Documentation mismatch
- Ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in SAP system
- Follow compliance with import regulations and company policies
3. Dispatch & Order Fulfilment
- Plan dispatch as per production plan / customer orders
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and documentation
- Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch
- Prepare dispatch documents:
- Invoice
- Delivery challan
- Transport documents
4. Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain real-time inventory accuracy
- Conduct:
- Daily stock checks
- Monthly cycle counts
- Annual physical audits
- Monitor:
- Slow-moving / non-moving stock
- Excess inventory
5. System & Documentation Control
- Ensure all transactions are updated in SAP / Oracle / others)
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits
- Track batch/lot numbers for traceability
6. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure proper storage conditions (as per product requirement)
- Implement:
- 5S in warehouse
- Safety standards
- Report and handle:
- Damaged goods
- Non-conforming materials
7. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with:
- Production team
- Planning team
- Procurement / Import team
- Sales / dispatch team
- Ensure smooth material flow without delays
Qualifications & Experience-
· Graduate (Logistics / Supply Chain preferred)
· 3–7 years experience in warehouse operations
· Experience in handling import / international shipments preferred
· Knowledge of SAP and Excel .
