Solaria Wellbeing (a business entity under Solace Asia Sdn. Bhd.) is urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-site EAP Counsellor (Night Shift) to provide 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services for our client in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This role plays a key part in delivering impactful wellness sessions, evidence-based interventions, and continuous support for working adults. Scope of Service
1. Professional Services
- Conducts on-site individual check-in and group wellness sessions.
- Conducts evaluations to assess individual's mental health and wellbeing, followed by appropriate follow-up sessions when needed.
- Offers short-term therapy using effective counselling techniques (i.e. Psychological First Aid, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing etc.) and recommend additional resources where applicable.
- Conducts orientation sessions and resiliency trainings for new joiners.
- Performs other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the client's Wellness Team or the Company when deemed necessary.
2. Privacy and Confidentiality
- Handle all sessions with professionalism, adhering to ethical standards and codes of practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes documenting plans and progresses.
3. Licensing and Certification
- Ensure that all required licenses and certifications for professional practice remain valid and up-to-date.
Requirement
- Malaysian citizenship
- Must possess Master's degree in either Counselling or Psychology or Clinical Psychology
- Counsellor: Must be registered with the Malaysian Board of Counsellors (Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia, LKM)
- Psychologist: Must be registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)
- Clinical Psychologist: Must be registered with both the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) and Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP)
- Minimum 3-year work experience providing mental health services for working adults
- Open to 24/7 rotational shift, mostly night shift
- Fluent in both Malay and English
- Lives in Penang, and is able to commute to the client's office when needed
- Upholds professionalism, compassion, and empathy whilst interacting with the management team, site employees, and all team members
- Notice period: 1 month or lesser, qualified candidates with immediate availability are much appreciated
