Onsite Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced On-Site Engineer to join Yunxu Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in a full-time capacity. Based in Johor Bahru, Johor, this role is critical to our operations and directly impacts the reliability and performance of our electrical and electronic systems. As an On-Site Engineer, you will be the frontline representative of our company, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional technical support and maintenance services. This position is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our reputation for excellence in the electrical and electronic engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment at client sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
• Troubleshoot technical faults and malfunctions, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Perform testing and calibration of electrical and electronic systems using appropriate tools and equipment
• Document all maintenance work, repairs, and technical findings in detailed reports for client records and company analysis
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding technical issues, timelines, and recommended solutions
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times whilst on client premises
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any deficiencies to management
• Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and service requests as required
• Collaborate with the engineering team to escalate complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Diploma and above in Computer Scinece, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 5years and above in data center support experience
• Proficiency in LINUX,BMC/iL0
• Hold HCIE-Data Center, DGX certification
• Proven technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other specialised instruments
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanour and strong customer service orientation
• Experience in a similar on-site technician or field service role within the electrical or electronic engineering industry is highly desirable
• Certification in relevant electrical safety standards or technical qualifications would be advantageous
