ROLE SUMMARY:

The role of an Operations Executive in freight forwarding is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from one location to another. Operations Executives in this field are responsible for managing various aspects of the logistics process, from the initial booking to the final delivery. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

MAIN TASKS / KEY ACTIVITIES

Responsible for day-to-day coordination, execution and tracking of sea import, export as well as transshipments.

Liaise with oversea offices and agents.

Prepare of essential shipping documentation on a daily basis.

Follow up and updating customers on their import/export shipments.

Communicate with carriers, terminals, customs brokers, truckers and oversea agents.

Ensure all shipment documentations are compliant with customs rules and regulations.

Maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders, customs etc. and ensure an impeccable service.

Troubleshoot challenges that might affect the operational activities.

Negotiate and book cargo with shipping lines.

Complete customs clearances and ensure full compliance to any relevant regulations.

Manage documentation flows; This includes all operational transactions such as bills of lading (B/L), packing lists, commercial invoices and certificates of origin, licenses etc.

Coordinate the collection/delivery processes and manage this until the final destination according to customers requirements.

Work in a small, harmonized team and cover all aspects of the forwarding process.

Other ad-hoc tasks, urgent duties and projects as well as assignments.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

High School, Diploma or; Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Minimum 4 years related experience; Preferred Minimum 3-4 years industry experience.

Knowledgeable in industry related issues in manufacturing, international and domestic rail and road transportation, supply chain, logistics and shipping operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications, accurate typing and/or data entry skills. Basic math skills.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Experienced in process execution and functional logistics operations.

Ability to articulate logistics objectives and provide solutions to real-time logistics problems.
