Position objective
Nexus Group is seeking a high-impact Operations Lead to oversee and manage end-to-end operations across the organization. This senior leadership role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring strategic alignment, and optimizing resources across all business functions. The successful candidate will be a hands-on operational leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and effective day-to-day operations across Nexus Group.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational growth and performance goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Uphold high standards of quality, governance, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Oversee all core operational functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Development, and Project Management.
- Manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, internal policies, and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- Lead operational projects, resolve issues proactively, and ensure timely delivery of organizational objectives.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred
Experience
- 710 years of experience in operations management or senior leadership roles
- Proven experience managing multi-department or group-level operations
Technical & Leadership Competencies
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Budgeting, financial oversight, and cost management expertise
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
- Proficiency in KPI tracking, operational dashboards, and reporting tools
- Solid understanding of Malaysian regulatory and compliance frameworks
