Job Purpose
- To perform routine maintenance and repair tasks while also handling administrative duties such as documentation, reporting, scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance tasks related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and building services.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment and facilities.
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and servicing of machinery, lighting, air conditioning units, etc.
- Ensure all tools, equipment and systems are maintained in good working condition and stored properly.
- Support in setting up equipment for school or office functions/events (if applicable)
- Maintain and update maintenance records, work orders, service reports and equipment logs.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate and follow up with external contractors/vendors for service jobs, quotations and deliveries.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools and supplies; prepare requisition forms when stock is low.
- File and organize maintenance manuals, warranties and regulatory compliance documents.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- SPM, Certificate or Diploma in Building Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years of working experience in the engineering field, preferably in HVAC.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of maintenance tracking systems is a plus.
- Able to multitask and prioritize technical and administrative responsibilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in resolving issues.
