Summary
As an Operations Engineering Associate at Celestica, you are responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals. A primary focus of this role is managing the Engineering Change (EC) process, ensuring seamless implementation of changes from both customers and internal teams.
Detailed Responsibilities
Engineering Change (EC) Management
- Change Analysis: Analyze customer change requests from Matrix ECs to determine site impact.
- Disposition and Monitoring: Decide the disposition for released ECs and monitor the system updates for Halb and Fert items.
- ECN Processing: Process all internal and external Engineering Change Notice (ECN) requests and coordinate activities with Work Cell staff.
- System Bridging: Bridge Matrix ECs in SAP based on depletion dates and verify the accuracy of bridging and check for I-Doc errors.
System and Data Maintenance (SAP)
- BOM Management: Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) routing, component allocation, and ensure 100% BOM accuracy.
- Data Updates: Update SAP for AVL (Approved Vendor List), new part numbers, and drawings.
- Routing: Refresh routing for all Manufacturing Information Package (MIP) releases.
- Planning Support: Maintain input placement for planning assembly releases based on Engineering decisions.
Coordination and Problem-Solving
- Meetings: Chair weekly customer ECO meetings and coordinate daily/weekly Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve system issues and liaise with IT Support for BOM-related problems.
- Process Improvement: Support project enhancements such as EC EtQ, Auto Sort string, and automated processes.
- General Duties: Comply with additional assignments from supervisors.
Requirements
- Experience: This is a junior-level position requiring entry-level to 1 year of experience.
- Education: A Bachelor's Engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
