Job Summary

Operations Executive overseeing daily air freight operations, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo movement, SOP compliance, accurate documentation, and efficient shipment execution while supporting operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Operations Oversight

• Supervise and monitor ground handling vendors to ensure adherence to company SOPs.

• Coordinate cargo handling, loading/unloading, and documentation processes.

• Represent the company at KLIA for all operational matters.

2. Vendor Management

• Maintain strong relationships with ground handling agents and trucking companies.

• Ensure service quality, timely execution, and compliance with agreed terms.

3. Process Compliance

• Implement and enforce company SOPs for air freight operations.

• Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure operational integrity.

4. Communication & Reporting

• Act as the main point of contact for KLIA operations.

• Provide daily operational updates and exception reports to Penang HQ.

• Escalate issues promptly and propose corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Coordination

• Verify shipping documents, airway bills, and customs paperwork.

• Provide daily operational updates and exception reports to Penang HQ.

6. Performance Monitoring and Problem Resolution

• Monitor KPIs related to cost accuracy, billing turnaround time, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure minimal disruption to cargo flow and customer commitments.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process flow, reduce

discrepancies, and eliminate delays.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics Management or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in freight forwarding

• Air Freight industry knowledge will be an advantage.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
