Our Client:
We have recently partnered with a Belgium based MNC company that specializes in distributing automotive parts. The company is looking to growing their presence in SEA region and currently looking for an Operation Manager to start up an entity in Malaysia.
Responsibility:
- Establish and manage the company branch operations in Malaysia from the ground up.
- Oversee warehouse management (WH) activities, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control and storage optimisation.
- Design and implement supply chain processes aligned with automotive industry standards
- Ensure compliance with all local legal, regulatory and customs requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, logistics providers and internal teams across Asia and Europe.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Malaysian labour law, import/export regulations and corporate governance requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs and customer meetings to raise brand visibility
Requirements:
- Must have degree or diploma in any related field
- Proven 10 years experience in warehouse management and end-to-end supply chain management.
- Background in the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier environment).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian local legal requirements, authorities and business practices.
- Experience with fasteners, C-parts or technical components in an automotive supply context.
- Existing network within the Malaysian automotive manufacturing ecosystem
