Operations Manager (based in Lahat, Perak)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Ipoh sites manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, improving performance, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible and accountable for achieving budget targets and meeting production, quality and engineering KPIs, while ensuring site manufacturing operations are efficient, safe and in full compliance with statutory requirements.
2. Oversee the day-to-day management of site operations support function including Human Resources, Purchasing, Logistics, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety & Environment.
3. Provide strong technical leadership, foster professional development and competency across all departments and effectively communicate and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Ensure robust cost control measures are in place and actively promote an OPEX-driven culture throughout organization.
5. Lead and support the team in preparing and submitting CAPEX proposals on time, and ensure projects are executed efficiently, within the approved timeline and budget.
6. Conducts performance reviews and seeks out the potential of each staff.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess Degree in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Have 10-15 years of working experience with minimum of 5 years at managerial level.Preferably from chemical or heavy industry.
• Hands-on experience in process improvement, quality assurance, and project management is highly valued
• Possess leadership qualities and a good team player.
• Good attention to details and figures with effective decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Good in planning, organizing and coordination. Proficiency in SAP is an advantage.
