Start Date:  August/September 2024

Location:Kuala Lumpur (Publika Shopping Gallery)

Compensation:RM 3,000 - RM 3,200 per month, negotiable based on skills and experiences

Additional Benefits

Responsibilities include:

  • Review documents for legal processing of migrant workers into Malaysia, checking for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare documents required for migrant worker visa application processes such as employment contracts, relevant immigration forms and authorisation letters
  • Submitting visa applications either online or manually with the assistance of the Dispatch team
  • Own and proactively follow up on visa application accounts assigned to you to ensure progress within the set deadline/required time frame
  • Seek guidance from supervisors on case strategy for visa applications that are atypical/require nuance considerations 
  • Execute on typical administrative services such as permit renewal and contract renewal services 
  • Manage client communications throughout the visa application process, including liaising with clients for document signing, emailing/messaging clients to provide progress updates, and receiving clients at the office during worker arrival
  • Manage on-arrival logistics for candidates when they arrive in Malaysia such as purchasing phone SIM cards, medical examination registration and visa issuance 
  • Manage relevant stakeholders (Department of Labour, Immigration Department Officers, etc.) and practise cross-cultural empathy with people from varying backgrounds
  • Perform duties with proactivity, enthusiasm and open communication. 

Requirements include: 

  • Experience with clients from various backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Positive attitude toward day-to-day problem-solving
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work tasks 
  • Passionate or willing to learn about social impact, ethical recruitment, foreign labour, issues faced by migrant workers, forced labour and modern slavery
  • Process-oriented or process-driven person
  • Ability to work well under pressure and good at making decisions quickly
  • Empathetic but resilient (you deeply care about customers, and always remain calm)
  • Forward-thinking and an action-taker (anticipate potential problems and prevent them before they occur)
  • Interest in planning systematically and organising workflows to optimise efficiency.
  • Highly organised and meticulous
  • Able to work collaboratively in a lean operations team under a dynamic environment
  • A candidate who has a car is highly desirable as this role may involve some logistical work
