Job Description

Position : Operations Supervisor (Offshore)

Industry : Oil & Gas

Location : Offshore (Various Location)

Contract Duration : 1 year

Scope of Works:

  • Supervise and lead offshore production and maintenance personnel, including operators, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure the team always adheres to safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Foster a team-oriented culture by providing leadership, mentorship, and motivation to offshore workers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of offshore team members and provide training where necessary.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily offshore operations, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of offshore equipment, systems, and facilities.
  • Supervise the handling of materials, tools, and machinery to ensure that all work is completed according to project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctioning or maintenance needs to ensure uptime and minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure all offshore operations are carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks and ensure that all personnel are trained in emergency procedures.
  • Lead and participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure proper documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Respond to emergencies, accidents, or safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide real-time reporting of operational activities, incident reports, and safety audits to OIM
  • Coordinate with the logistics and supply teams to ensure the availability of resources and equipment required for the operations.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between the offshore team and support teams such as maintenance, logistics, and engineering.
  • Oversee routine maintenance activities, ensuring equipment and systems are maintained according to schedules.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems and resolve technical or logistical issues promptly to avoid downtime.
  • Ensure the implementation of effective emergency response procedures in the event of equipment failure, environmental hazards, or accidents.
  • Ensure that operations meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to verify the integrity of operations, ensuring no compromise to safety, efficiency, or the environment.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to operational practices and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, incidents, and safety reports.
  • Ensure that all work-related documentation is completed in a timely and compliant manner (e.g., daily reports, permits, inspections).
  • Provide detailed reports to OIM regarding operational performance and safety compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Oil & Gas, or related field.
  • Relevant offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, Offshore Medical. AGT, AESP).
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in offshore operations, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in managing offshore production operations, with primary knowledge on wells, offshore processing and equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with operational processes, machinery, and systems used in offshore environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of HSE policies, procedures, and offshore regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between multiple teams.
  • Proficient in the use of offshore equipment, tools, and software for operations management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Working Conditions:


  • Offshore rotation, typically 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (subject to change).
  • Extended offshore rotations if necessary.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, hazardous, and high-risk offshore environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to respond to operational needs outside of regular working hours.
