Weststar Insurance Limited (WIL), a licensed general insurer specialising in Marine, Aviation, and Transit (MAT) insurance, is looking for a detail-oriented and committed Operations Support (Finance Division) to join our team.
This role will primarily support the Finance Manager in accounting operations, financial reconciliation, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily finance and accounting operations.
- Assist with premium accounting, receipting, and financial reconciliation.
- Prepare billing summaries, debit notes, credit notes, and internal records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
- Support external audit processes by organizing and providing required documentation.
- Help prepare tax filings, regulatory submissions, and management reports.
- Track expenses, assist in budgeting exercises, and maintain organized financial records.
- Perform other finance-related administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 1-2 years of working experience in finance, accounting, or audit support is preferred (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., SQL, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Highly organized, meticulous, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
