We are looking for an oracle performance expert that can help us to work on projects but also proactively analyze our production.
What we are not looking for is a reactive standard DBA infrastructure admin.
Academic requirements & skills
- Oracle 19c with Active Data Guard / Oracle Enterprise Manager (+ v11 and 12 remnants)
- Oracle Stream (Remnant - currently being replaced by Attunity)
- SPARC + Solaris 11 (existing base)
- IBM Power 10 + AIX 7.2/7.3 (target base for Oracle)
- x86 + Linux Red Hat + PostgreSQL
- Attunity (Full Mode + CDC)
- Application Servers: IBM WAS / JBoss
- VTOM and TWS Schedulers
- ElasticSearch Kibana
Requiered Soft Skills
- Autonomy, proactivity, listening and advisening are soft skills that we will be vigileant on.
Main responsibilities:
- Participation to several infrastructure projects, define collaboratively with stakeholders some target architecture (Oracle base):
- Taking into account the storage constraints in terms of performance, backup and restore, regulations, and drps.
- Support performance testing as part of projects
- Analyze in specific cases the activity on PROD DBs and make recommendations (Application and Infrastructure)
- Monitoring of DBs and performing recommendations of optimization towards IT applicative teams and infrastructure teams for short/Mid and long terms situations.
- Support Applicative and Infra teams into the implementation of these optimizations.
- Bring a support and expertise on Oracle Database when some applicative or infrastructure optimizations are being implemented.
