Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL to design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle tools, performance tuning, and production support, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

   Develop, debug, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

   Work extensively with Oracle 9i SQL and PL/SQL for database development and support.

   Manage and work with various Oracle database objects to support application needs.

   Monitor and support day-end Oracle jobs and ensure smooth database operations.

   Perform Oracle performance tuning to improve system efficiency and reliability.

   Utilize Oracle utilities such as Data Export/Import and SQL*Loader.

   Use Oracle development and reporting tools including TOAD, Oracle Developer 2000 (6i/9i), and SQL*Reports 6i/9i.

   Collaborate with clients and internal teams to analyze issues and deliver effective solutions.

   Follow structured problem-resolution methodologies to resolve production and technical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

   Strong hands-on experience in Oracle 9i SQL and PL/SQL.

   Proven experience in developing and debugging complex PL/SQL code.

   Experience with Oracle utilities and performance tuning.

   Proficiency with Oracle tools such as TOAD, Developer 2000, and SQL*Reports.

   Good understanding of database monitoring and job scheduling.

   Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients.

   Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with a mature and professional approach.

Preferred / Added Advantage

   Knowledge or experience in Life400 and/or LifeAsia systems will be a strong plus.

   Domain knowledge of Life Insurance processes and systems will be an added advantage.
