Job Summary:
We are looking for the best-fit candidate on behalf of our esteemed client for the position of Prosthetist-Orthotist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and custom-fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices for individuals with limb loss or musculoskeletal impairments. This role combines hands-on patient care with technical expertise to deliver personalized solutions that improve mobility, functionality, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients with limb loss, deformities, or functional impairments resulting from trauma, disease, or congenital conditions.
- Design and develop custom prostheses and orthoses tailored to individual patient needs and clinical assessments.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal device function, comfort, and alignment.
- Monitor patient progress, make necessary modifications to devices, and provide ongoing care and support.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams to create holistic treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical and legal standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in prosthetics and orthotics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or a related healthcare field.
- Certification and/or licensure as required by national or local regulatory bodies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Technical skills in device design, fabrication, and fitting.
- Empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
