Role Purpose
- Responsible for implementation, deployment, and technical delivery of Greenfield & Brownfield fiber deployments.
- Manage integration of leased IRUs (Indefeasible Right of Use fiber) into Meta's production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage daytoday activities of network development projects.
- Oversee backbone fiber rollout including survey, design, construction, testing, and handover.
- Manage partners/contractors to deliverables, ensuring compliance with quality and timelines.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, escalate issues when needed.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring ontime delivery of network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Network Development, Network Planning, Edge Deployment, Legal, Finance.
Technical Scope
- Fiber optic backbone rollout (Greenfield/Brownfield).
- ILA hut deployment, amplifier acceptance, DWDM transmission.
- Integration of fiber into Meta's global production environment.
- Compliance with industry standards and Meta's internal frameworks.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong background in OSP fiber projects (longhaul/backbone).
- Experience with programlevel delivery (multisite, multistakeholder).
- Knowledge of fiber testing tools (OTDR, OLTS, splice loss).
- Vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and budget control.
- Ability to handle Greenfield (new builds) and Brownfield (existing upgrades) projects.
