We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Out-Sourcing Executive to support sourcing and supplier coordination activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role provides exposure to both commercial sourcing and technical supplier evaluation. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure components and assemblies meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement Execution
- Support RFQ processes and prepare technical and commercial comparisons.
- Review supplier quotations against BOM and project requirements.
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders with proper follow-up.
- Track delivery schedules and coordinate shipment arrangements.
- Assist in cost comparison and basic cost breakdown analysis.
- Maintain and update supplier database and documentation.
Technical Coordination
- Review engineering drawings and BOM structures before supplier engagement.
- Clarify technical specifications with Engineering and suppliers.
- Assist in evaluating supplier capability for PCBA, mechanical fabrication, box build, and cable assembly.
- Support new supplier qualification and first article builds.
- Coordinate with Quality team on supplier corrective actions when required.
Supplier Performance & Risk Monitoring
- Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.
- Follow up on open issues and ensure timely closure.
- Assist in identifying potential supply risks (long lead items, single source).
- Support vendor performance evaluation and ISO documentation.
Cross-Functional Support
- Act as coordination point between Engineering, Planning, and suppliers.
- Support urgent production requirements and expedite parts when necessary.
- Participate in sourcing process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing environment.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical interest are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of PCBA or electronics manufacturing processes. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with mechanical parts or fabrication drawings. (Preferred)
- Able to read and interpret basic technical drawings and BOM structures. (Preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline.
- Good communication skills with suppliers and internal teams.
- Fluent and understanding in English and Malay is compulsory due to business need, and understanding in Mandarin will be a plus point.
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Positive attitude with strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn.
