We are looking for an Overseas Design Institute Promotion Specialist/Sales Engineer to develop relationships with architectural design institutes, M&E consultants, engineering firms, and key project stakeholders across international markets. The role focuses on promoting TNA's fire protection and smart building solutions during the design stage, increasing product specification opportunities, and supporting long-term business growth.
This position serves as the entry point for the company's Specification Sales career path and offers clear development opportunities towards Specification Sales Engineer and Country Lead roles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Institute Development
- Identify and develop relationships with overseas architectural design institutes, engineering consultants, developers and EPC contractors.
- Generate new business opportunities through LinkedIn, email campaigns, industry exhibitions, referrals and networking.
- Establish long-term partnerships with key consultants and decision makers.
2. Design Specification Promotion
- Promote the company's fire protection solutions during the project design stage.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and specification discussions with consultants and designers.
- Support consultants with product selection, system design recommendations and technical documentation.
- Follow specification projects from concept design through tender stage.
3. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects and design institutes.
- Organize regular customer visits, technical seminars, CPD sessions and networking events.
- Increase TNA's visibility and reputation within the local design community.
4. Marketing & Event Management
- Plan and execute quarterly promotion activities.
- Organize technical seminars, product launches, workshops and exhibitions.
- Prepare presentation materials and collect business opportunities generated from each event.
5. Technical Documentation Support
- Prepare customized technical documentation according to international standards (EN54, NFPA, BS or local codes).
- Provide brochures, BIM/CAD files, specifications and tender documents.
- Maintain historical project records and bidding documentation
6. CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate consultant database and CRM records.
- Track project opportunities from initial contact to specification and tender stages.
- Update project pipeline, customer activities and specification status regularly.
- Monitor competitors activities and provide market intelligence.
7. Internal Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with Sales, Technical Support, Product Management and Marketing teams.
- Maintain cooperation agreements with design institutes.
- Manage promotion expenses according to company policies.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or above.
Preferred majors:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering

- Civil Engineering
- Architecture
Experience
- 1–3 years of overseas B2B sales, technical sales or business development experience.
- Experience working with design institutes, engineering consultants, contractors or developers is highly preferred.
- Experience in fire protection, building automation, MEP or construction industry will be an advantage.
Language
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Able to conduct presentations and technical discussions in English.
- Additional regional languages are an advantage.
Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in public presentations and technical seminars.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to travel within assigned regions.
