Packaging Innovation & Process Engineer Senior Manager
Location: Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid)
A global FMCG company and seeking a Senior Manager to own the region's hybrid packaging and process agenda. This is a critical hybrid role requiring a blend of deep Packaging Development and Process Engineering expertise to ensure compelling product experience, sustainability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and innovation of packaging solutions (packaging development area), focusing on innovation skills, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Lead process design development, optimization, and continuous improvement for product innovation and scale-up, ensuring the transfer of scalable manufacturing processes from concept to full production
- Drive cost savings and profitability through packaging and process optimization, using continuous improvement methodologies
- Possess strong technical business leadership skills and experience managing people. Strong project management capabilities are highly beneficial.
- Lead, coach, and develop a technical R&D team and provide strong technical business leadership across the team
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in R&D or Engineering, in a middle to senior level managerial capacity. Must have experience to manage people and manage key stakeholders
- Confectionery background is the first priority, but food and the beverage industry will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience in packaging materials/equipment, strong analytical skills (Design of Experiments, Root Cause Analysis), and proven track record managing complex projects with agility
- Must be proactive, strategic, and possess the technical business leadership skills to operate effectively across a complexity.
- Good command of English is essential.
