Manager / Assistant Manager, Financial Services Solutions & Promotion
We are representing a highly capitalized, rapidly expanding joint venture backed by a global retail powerhouse and strategic local partners. Our client is on a mission to revolutionize financial inclusion in Malaysia by bridging the gap between massive physical retail footprints and cutting-edge digital financial services.
We are looking for a dynamic Strategic Partnerships Manager to act as a crucial catalyst for this growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will not just be managing accounts—you will be building a new O2O (Online-to-Offline) financial ecosystem from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to blend strategic marketing, high-level business development, and operational execution in a well-funded startup environment.
The Impact You Will MakeInstead of a standard checklist, here is how you will drive the business forward:
1. Ecosystem Building & Strategic Alliances
Identify, pitch, and secure high-value partnerships with traditional banks, fintech innovators, e-wallet providers, and technology vendors.
Serve as the primary commercial bridge between our physical infrastructure network and digital payment players looking for cash-in/cash-out solutions.
2. Go-to-Market & Commercialization
Lead the commercialization of new business ventures, taking them from concept to live deployment.
Develop robust go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and brand positioning that drive user adoption and transaction volume.
Continuously analyze market trends, competitor movements, and customer insights to refine our growth strategy.
3. Operational Alignment & Execution
Act as the strategic link between commercial goals and technical execution, working closely with IT and Operations teams to ensure seamless system integrations.
Evaluate new technologies to improve scalability and ensure all operational workflows align strictly with national banking standards and compliance regulations.
Provide high-level advisory and execution support directly to the CEO on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Experience: 7 to 10+ years of proven success in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy within Fintech, Banking, Payments, or Financial Infrastructure.
The Network: You bring established, high-level relationships with Malaysian financial institutions, payment network operators (e.g., PayNet), and regulatory frameworks (BNM).
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of payment systems, digital transformation, or self-service banking networks (O2O, POS, or automated terminal networks).
The Mindset: You possess a rare blend of sharp commercial acumen and operational grit. You can negotiate a complex API integration deal in the morning and troubleshoot a rollout bottleneck in the afternoon.
Agility: Willingness to travel domestically to drive site expansion and partner engagement.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
