JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join a luxury hospitality concept. This role combines refined pastry craftsmanship with strong operational discipline, including proper documentation and kitchen administration, to ensure consistent luxury standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Culinary Excellence

  • Produce premium-quality pastries, viennoiserie, cakes, and desserts with exceptional precision and presentation.
  • Ensure all products consistently meet luxury taste, texture, and visual standards.

Operational & Paperwork Responsibilities

  • Complete daily production records, temperature logs, and hygiene checklists accurately.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory records, stock requisition forms, and wastage reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation for food safety compliance, audits, and internal standards.
  • Update recipe files and production sheets when required.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Execute daily production according to forecast and operational planning.
  • Monitor ingredient quality, stock rotation (FIFO), and storage standards.
  • Ensure correct usage and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Train, guide, and mentor junior pastry team members.
  • Work closely with culinary and service teams to deliver seamless luxury guest experience.
  • Support new product development and seasonal menu creation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in luxury hotel, fine dining, or premium caf pastry operations.
  • Strong technical skills in pastry, viennoiserie, chocolate, and dessert presentation.
  • Experience handling kitchen documentation and compliance paperwork.
  • High attention to detail, discipline, and professionalism.
  • Willingness to work on weekends.
  • Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
