Accounts & Payroll Officer

Role Purpose
The Accounts & Payroll Officer plays a central role in ensuring the financial stability, transparency, and integrity of The Wave Clinic.
This position ensures accurate payroll delivery, clear financial records, timely invoicing, and ethical financial governance contributing directly to staff confidence, family trust, and operational stability.
This is a trusted role within a values-led, family-owned, international organisation.

Core Responsibilities
1. Accounts Administration
Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Issue and track family invoices in line with treatment contracts
Maintain accurate financial records and digital filing systems
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain audit trails and documentation readiness
Flag discrepancies immediately and appropriately
2. Payroll Management
Prepare and process monthly payroll for all staff
Ensure correct statutory deductions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB)
Maintain payroll records and confidentiality
Process salary adjustments, contract changes, and new starter details
Liaise with HR regarding employment updates
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour and tax law
3. Financial Governance & Conduct
Maintain strict confidentiality
Work with integrity and neutrality
Uphold financial transparency standards
Support structured and orderly systems
Contribute to a calm and professional operational culture
Required Experience & Qualifications
25 years experience in accounts and payroll
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Payroll
Strong attention to detail
High ethical standards
Able to work independently and responsibly
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
Experience in healthcare, education, or hospitality settings is advantageous but not essential
