Adecco's client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Executive to support payroll operations across Malaysia and Singapore. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining statutory compliance, supporting client payroll requirements, and delivering a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong payroll knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience leveraging payroll systems and digital tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned clients, ensuring payroll is completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Administer Malaysia payroll activities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and HRDF.
- Support Singapore payroll processing and statutory obligations, including CPF, SDL, employee deductions, and payroll-related reporting.
- Review payroll inputs, calculations, adjustments, and variance reports to ensure accuracy prior to payroll finalisation.
- Prepare payroll reports, statutory submissions, tax-related documentation, and client deliverables in accordance with regulatory requirements and service standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related enquiries from clients, employees, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Utilise payroll systems, Excel, and approved digital or AI tools to support payroll validation, reconciliation, reporting, and process documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity when handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, payroll process enhancements, automation projects, and best practice implementation.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members while contributing to team performance and service delivery objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4–5 years of hands-on payroll experience, including experience supporting both Malaysia and Singapore payroll operations.
- Experience within payroll outsourcing, shared services, BPO, or client-facing payroll environments will be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and HRDF.
- Working knowledge of Singapore payroll regulations, including CPF, SDL, employee deductions, and payroll reporting requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including payroll reconciliation, variance analysis, pivot tables, and formula-based validations.
- Experience using payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and digital tools to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese, primarily for stakeholder communication.
