Introduction
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role works closely with internal HR teams and external payroll vendors to ensure employees are paid correctly and statutory requirements are met. The role is suitable for a payroll professional with minimally 3 years of hands-on payroll experience who is looking to deepen regional payroll exposure and process ownership.
In this Role, you'll get to
- Monitor payroll deadlines and support end-to-end monthly payroll processing for assigned countries within SEA region.
- Serve as an independent checker for payroll processes and outputs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to control frameworks.
- Collaborate with local HR and internal stakeholders to support payroll related matters.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
- Support process improvement initiatives to streamline payroll operations to enhance efficiency and standardize best practices.
- Serve as the Absence Partner, contributing to HR operational excellence by managing employee time and attendance records and ensuring accurate integration of absence data into payroll calculations.
- Review and reconcile overtime, absence-related entries such as annual leave and unpaid leave before payroll processing.
What you'll Need to Succeed
- Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant role, can manage payroll independently. Experience with regional payroll and Payroll Operations Excellence will be an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and statutory deductions.
- High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies.
- Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
