About the Role
Volvo Malaysia is seeking motivated students from Human Resources and business-related disciplines to join our People & Culture team. This internship provides comprehensive exposure to HR functions including recruitment, employee engagement, payroll processing, and learning & development initiatives in a dynamic multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the hiring process by advertising job postings, sourcing candidates, screening applications, arranging interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers on final selections.
- Review and process Overtime, Breakdown, and Sales Commission claims; calculate internship allowances; prepare Internship Payment Vouchers; and ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives to enhance morale and satisfaction.
- Assist employees with seminar or workshop registrations and coordinate with Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) for grant applications and claims.
- Prepare and process payments for approved utilities invoices, ensuring accuracy in payment amounts and account details.
Functional Tasks
- Conduct thorough reference checks and optimize the interview process to ensure recruitment of high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture colleagues and managers to align activities for organizational success.
- Foster trust and a positive work environment to enhance the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or other related fields.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
