Performance Test Lead

Role Mission:Ensure business-critical applications and platforms meet defined performance, reliability, and capacity requirements before production releases through effective performance testing and analysis.

Drive the adoption of performance best practices across the software delivery lifecycle to proactivelyidentifybottlenecks and address them to improve end-user experience.

Accountabilities:

1. Take overexistingperformance testscripts from vendors

1. Schedule,designand drive performance tests

1. Performance test strategy and execution for assigned applications and platforms.

1. Definition and maintenance of realistic workload models, performance baselines.

1. Identification, analysis, and communication of performance risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints, translated into reports for stakeholders

1. Improve test reliability and time taken forperformancetest runs

1. Improveperformance of applications in terms ofuser experience and satisfaction

1. Collaboratewith engineering teams to improve applicationperformanceand resource efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, execute, andmaintainload, stress, endurance, spike, and capacity tests.

1. Create andmaintainreusable performance test frameworks and automated test assets.

1. Define test workloads based on production usage patterns and expected business growth.

1. Partner with developers, architects, infrastructure, and product teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.

1. Produce clear performance assessment reports, risk evaluations, and release recommendations.

1. Establish andmaintainperformance testing standards, templates, and best practices.

1. Support capacity planning and performance readiness assessments for major releases and platform changes.
