Job Summary
As a Personal Banker at RHB Bank Berhad, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual customers, providing a full range of banking services, and identifying opportunities to offer suitable financial products.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of individual customers, addressing their banking needs and inquiries.
- Proactively identify and assess customer financial needs, offering appropriate banking products and services such as deposits, loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment products.
- Onboard new customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient account opening process and educating them on RHB's digital channels and services.
- Process banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
- Conduct regular reviews of customer portfolios to identify potential cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to branch performance objectives.
- Participate in branch marketing and promotional activities to attract new customers.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail banking, sales, or customer service, preferably in a financial institution.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and services (deposits, loans, credit cards, insurance, investments).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in other local languages is an advantage.
- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) are a plus.
