Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Personal Financial Consultant role based in Kuching. The Personal Financial Consultant will engage with customers to understand their financial goals and recommend suitable banking, investment, and protection solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting financial needs assessments, presenting CIMB's products and services, and supporting customers in areas such as savings, loans, investments, and insurance. The role involves achieving sales and service targets, maintaining accurate customer records, and complying with regulatory and internal governance requirements. The Personal Financial Consultant will also participate in outreach activities, collaborate with branch colleagues, and continually update product and market knowledge to better serve customers.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Financial Planning and Finance to analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and banking products, including consumer and investment offerings.
  • Consulting skills to conduct structured financial discussions and provide clear, customer-focused advice.
  • Sales capabilities to drive customer acquisition, cross-selling, and achievement of branch and individual targets.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships.
  • Customer-focused mindset, ethical conduct, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment, manage multiple customer engagements, and meet performance objectives.
  • Prior experience in banking, wealth management, or financial advisory is an advantage.
