Personal Financial Consultant - RHB Bank Berhad

Job Summary

As a Personal Financial Consultant at RHB Bank Berhad, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual clients, understanding their financial goals, and providing expert advice and solutions to help them achieve financial well-being. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering a comprehensive range of financial products and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, acquire, and onboard new individual clients through various channels, including referrals, networking, and outreach activities.
  • Conduct thorough financial needs analysis and risk assessments for clients to understand their current financial situation, future goals, and risk tolerance.
  • Develop and present tailored financial plans and investment strategies that align with client objectives, incorporating products such as savings accounts, investment funds, insurance, loans, and wealth management solutions.
  • Educate clients on various financial products and services, explaining their features, benefits, and associated risks clearly and concisely.
  • Monitor client portfolios regularly, providing ongoing advice, performance reviews, and making necessary adjustments based on market conditions and client needs.
  • Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product specialists, wealth managers) to deliver comprehensive and integrated financial solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and prepare necessary reports.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and changes in financial products and regulations.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall branch/team performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in personal financial advisory, sales, or banking, preferably within a retail banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, including investments, insurance, loans, and wealth management.
  • Possession of relevant financial licenses/certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CEILI, TBE) is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
