Job Summary:
The Pharmacist (HQ) will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing digital health and e-pharmacy operations, ensuring seamless patient care, operational efficiency, and service excellence across healthcare programs and corporate wellness initiatives. This role involves conducting virtual consultations and follow-up care for patients with minor ailments and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and supporting the integration of digital healthcare solutions including telehealth platforms and patient engagement tools.
The role also includes planning and executing corporate wellness programs, health screenings, educational campaigns, and preventive healthcare initiatives, while working closely with corporate clients, insurance partners, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders. In addition, the pharmacist will contribute to business development, healthcare program expansion, digital health innovation, and patient engagement strategies to support organizational growth and enhance healthcare accessibility.
Job Descriptions :
Patient Care, Teleconsultation, and Pharmacy Fulfillment
- Conduct virtual consultations with patients diagnosed with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes.
- Follow up with patients from Month 0 through Month 6 (Subject changes to project duration) to ensure progress tracking and therapy optimization.
- Collaborate with in-store pharmacists, e-doctors, and dietitians to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide personalized medication advice and healthcare guidance.
- Promote patient engagement through consistent communication and motivation.
Operational Support & E-Health Platform Optimization & Management
- Develop and implement SOPs and workflows related to e-pharmacy operations.
- Support pharmacy staff with system-related and workflow-related queries.
- Analyze patient and operational data to identify trends and prepare reports.
- Conduct quality assurance testing for system updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend system enhancements.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and timely delivery of patient orders.
- Assist with extemporaneous preparation when required.
- Prepare operational and healthcare performance reports, including screening outcomes, patient engagement metrics, campaign analytics, and service utilization trends.
- Utilize healthcare data insights to recommend service improvements and enhance patient experience.
Business Development & Strategy
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, patient engagement strategies, and service expansion opportunities to enhance healthcare accessibility and business growth.
- Lead and support the development of health programs, wellness campaigns, webinars, and patient education initiatives focused on preventive healthcare and chronic disease management.
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, insurance partners, and corporate clients to design and execute innovative healthcare solutions and wellness programs.
- Assist in proposal preparation, wellness package customization, and healthcare campaign planning to support corporate partnerships and client needs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of health programs, operational deliverables, and patient engagement activities.
- Support the creation of healthcare educational materials, digital health content, and public health awareness initiatives across multiple platforms.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to support long-term strategic partnerships and business development opportunities.
Team Development and Training
- Create and implement professional development and training programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Corporate Wellness & Community Event Support
- Represent the organization at corporate wellness programs, community health campaigns, and external engagement events.
- Conduct health screenings, health risk assessments, and provide professional medication counseling and lifestyle recommendations.
- Deliver health talks, workshops, and educational briefings to promote preventive healthcare awareness and chronic disease management.
- Assist in planning and executing targeted wellness initiatives focusing on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), obesity management, vaccination awareness, and healthy aging.
- Coordinate pre-event preparations including logistics, screening setup, stock allocation, promotional materials, and staff briefing to ensure smooth event execution.
- Collaborate with corporate clients, healthcare partners, and internal stakeholders to support successful program delivery and participant engagement.
- Support participant onboarding into digital health programs and facilitate appropriate post-event follow-up activities.
Additional Tasks as Required by Management
- Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by management.
- Assist with special projects, system implementations, and new initiatives.
- Provide feedback on operational challenges and process improvements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and registered pharmacist in Malaysia.
3–5 years of experience in retail pharmacy, digital health, telehealth, or e-pharmacy operations.
Strong knowledge of NCDs, pharmaceutical care, and telemedicine best practices.
Understanding of digital health systems and telehealth platforms.
Experience with extemporaneous preparation.
Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders.
Work Location/ Hours:
- Based in LW Medical Associates HQ @ Taipan USJ
- 45 hours per week
- Working on shifts including Public Holidays and weekends
