Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Selangor and Putrajaya area. The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions for safety and regulatory compliance, and providing clear counseling on proper use, side effects, and potential interactions. Daily tasks include managing inventory, checking stock levels and expiry dates, and ensuring proper storage of medicines. The role involves conducting basic health screenings where applicable, advising customers on over-the-counter products, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The Pharmacist will also help implement standard operating procedures, support quality assurance activities, and collaborate with other team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

  • Recognized degree in Pharmacy and valid registration with the relevant pharmacy council or licensing body.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and current clinical guidelines.
  • Ability to provide clear, empathetic patient counseling and communicate complex information in an understandable way.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to medication safety, accuracy in dispensing, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems, maintaining records, and managing stock and inventory efficiently.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethical judgment, and confidentiality in handling patient information and prescriptions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including weekends or public holidays as required, and to participate in ongoing professional development.
