This is a full-time, on-site PhD- Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) opportunity at the Higher Institution Centre of Excellence, Institute of Climate Adaptation and Marine Biotechnology, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in Kuala Terengganu. The research project focuses on climate and genomics of marine fish. The Graduate Research Assistant will conduct research, perform laboratory experiments, analyze data, prepare reports, and contribute to academic publications. Monthly stipend is available upon successfully registration as a GRA, until December 2028.
Qualifications
- Strong Research and Analytical Skills to design, implement, and interpret research methodologies
- Advanced Laboratory Skills and proficiency in conducting experiments
- Data Analysis capabilities, including interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
- Effective Communication skills for creating reports, academic papers, and presentations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining research documentation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Ecology, Environmental Science, or related disciplines
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and statistical tools (e.g., R) is a plus
